To use the MicroSDXC card slot with your tablet, do the following:

  1. Turn off the device before inserting the card.
  2. Remove the MicroSDXC card from its packaging and make sure it is inserted the right way around. Make sure that it is oriented correctly.
  3. Gently slide the card into the card slot until it clicks into place. Make sure the card is inserted correctly and is not loose in the slot. Insertion is also described in the Getting Started chapter.
  4. Turn the tablet back on.
  5. Your Windows 11 tablet should automatically detect the card and prompt you to format the card if it is not already formatted.
  6. When prompted to format the card, you can follow the default formatting options or choose your own settings.
  7. Once the card is formatted, you can start using it. You can copy files and folders to the card to save storage space on your tablet.
  8. If you want to remove the card, make sure it is not in use. Then click the Safely Remove Hardware icon on the taskbar and select the card you want to remove. Wait until a message appears stating that the card can be safely removed before pulling it out of the slot.
