In HID mode, the scanner supports the “Scan-to-Pair” function. You can create a barcode with the MAC address of the target device; scanning this barcode automatically pairs the Rockscan W100 with the target device.


To create a barcode for the “Scan-to-Pair” function, proceed as follows:


  1. Determine the Bluetooth MAC address of the device to which the Rockscan W100 is to be paired. The procedure varies depending on the device. Consult the device's operating instructions for more information.
  2. Create a barcode in any format supported by the Rockscan W100. The barcode must contain the MAC address in the following format: @XXXXXXXXXXXX@ (X represents the 12-digit MAC address).
  3. Print or save this barcode for later use.
  4. Scan the barcode when you want to pair with the device.
