1. Click on the “Start” button in the bottom corner of the desktop.
  2. Click on the settings icon (cogwheel) on the left-hand side of the start menu
  3. Click on “System” in the left menu
  4. Click on “Screen” 
  5. If you have an external monitor connected: Select the screen you want to change
  6. In the Screen resolution line, select the list and choose an option. Normally it is best to stick to the (recommended) highlighted value. Monitors can support lower resolutions than the native resolution, but text will no longer be displayed sharply and images will appear small, centered on the screen, with black corners or stretched. The value is applied automatically
  7. If you are satisfied with the change, click on “Keep”. Otherwise, you can click on “Reset” to return to the previous setting.
