Power Management Problems
The computer does not automatically enter sleep or hibernation mode.
If you have a connection to another computer, the computer does not enter Hibernate or Sleep mode when the connection is active.
- Make sure that the sleep or hibernation timeout is enabled. The computer does not enter Sleep or Hibernate mode immediately.
- When the computer performs an operation, it usually waits until the operation is complete.
The computer does not return from Hibernation or Sleep mode.
- The computer automatically enters Hibernate or Sleep mode when the battery is depleted. Perform one of the following steps:
- Connect the AC adapter to the computer.
- Replace the dead battery with a fully charged battery.
An application program is not working properly.
- Make sure the software is installed correctly.
- If an error message appears on the screen, refer to the software program documentation for more information.
- If you are sure the operation has stopped, reset the computer.
The device automatically goes into sleep mode
- Make sure the tablet's power settings are set correctly.
- Make sure that all battery latches are properly closed. On the Rocktab S512, you can tell when this is the case because the power LED is blinking (number 3 in the diagram in front). If this is the case, lock the battery (number 7 in the back diagram).
