GPS location cannot be determined
Problem description: The GPS cannot find the location.
Possible causes:
- The GPS is switched off.
- Flight mode is activated.
- Location detection is switched off in Windows.
- The application is not configured correctly.
- The application is not authorised to access your location.
- You are inside a building.
- Objects are blocking your view of the sky.
- Electronic devices in the vicinity are causing interference.
Possible solutions:
- Ensure that the GPS is switched on.
- Make sure that the flight mode is deactivated.
- Ensure that the location detection function is active.
- Make sure that the application is authorised to use your location.
- Make sure that the application is configured correctly. If the application uses a virtual COM port to connect to the GPS, make sure that the correct port is set.
- Move the tablet outside or closer to a window.
- Check whether objects such as buildings or trees are obstructing the clear view of the sky.
- Check whether there is any interference in your surroundings, e.g. microwave ovens, cordless phones. Move the tablet away from objects that cause interference.
